BUSAN, KOREA, 12 SEPTEMBER 2024 – Dark Product is excited to announce its first film distribution deal, partnering with No Soul Films for the highly anticipated feature film Disorder. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both companies and sets the stage for a riveting debut at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), where the first official trailer for Disorder will premiere.

Directed by Canadian filmmaker Tim Paugh, Disorder follows the gripping story of Nick, a drug dealer working for a Russian gang in South Korea. When his merchandise goes missing, Nick is forced to track down a mysterious woman under the protection of the Korean mafia. As he dives deeper into this search, haunted by disturbing dreams and shadowy threats, Nick uncovers unsettling truths about his own past.
Shot in the neon-drenched streets of Busan, including locations frequented by real Russian gangsters, Disorder draws inspiration from cinematic auteurs like David Lynch, David Cronenberg, and Nicolas Winding Refn. The film showcases a diverse cast and crew, with many actors making their screen debut in this gritty and dark psycological thriller.

Director Tim Paugh, known for his work in the South Korean independent film scene, brings his unique perspective to this debut feature. Paugh’s previous works include short films and music videos that have screened at various film festivals, including the Busan International Short Film Festival. Disorder is a labor of passion, crafted by a talented international team overcoming language barriers and tight budgets to create a bold, atmospheric narrative.
Paugh comments on his debut: "Disorder is not only a crime thriller, but also a story of Busan and its own complex, sometimes dark history. I hope audiences are as captivated by its dreamlike sequences and the city’s backdrop as they are by Nick's harrowing journey."
The world premiere of Disorder is scheduled to take place at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival, followed by a global distribution rollout. With Dark Product and No Soul Films backing the project, Disorder is poised to leave a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.
