Dark Product, Tesura Games, and Just Purkey Games announce Standard and Collector’s Editions for PS5
Dark Product is proud to announce that The Axis Unseen, the heavy metal horror hunting game from solo developer Nate Purkeypile of Just Purkey Games, will receive a physical PlayStation 5 release this summer in partnership with Spanish physical publisher and distributor Tesura Games.
Created by a former Bethesda Game Studios artist whose credits include The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and Starfield, The Axis Unseen invites players into a vast, mysterious open world where folklore monsters stalk the wilderness, and every hunt can turn against you.
About The Axis Unseen
The Axis Unseen® is a heavy metal horror game about hunting creatures from global folklore in a strange and unforgiving world.
Players must track monsters using sound, sight, scent, heat, and other supernatural senses, while relying on a bow, elemental arrows, magical abilities, and knowledge left behind by those who entered this world before them.
Almost all of the game’s UI exists naturally within the world itself, creating a deeply immersive experience where information is part of the environment, not layered on top of it.
But beware: in The Axis Unseen, the hunter is also the hunted.
Key Features
Immersion and discovery: Your bow displays key information such as how much noise you are making, how much magic you have left, and how visible you are. Creatures track you using sight, sound, and smell, and each has its own weaknesses to uncover.
A primitive metal soundtrack: The game features original music by Clifford Meyer, formerly of legendary post-metal bands ISIS and Red Sparowes. The soundtrack blends heavy metal with primitive instruments to create a sound that is raw, unsettling, and completely unique.
Enhance your senses: Upgrade your senses using the powers of the creatures you hunt. See scent particles. Feel the warmth left behind in tracks. Perceive colors no human has ever seen.
Unique arrow types: Your bow is your lifeline. Upgrade it and discover arrow types with different effects, including fire, wind-controlling, and time-distorting arrows.
