Dark Product today announced the global release of LOOP//ERROR, a psychological horror novel and companion book to the PC video game Loop//Error, currently available on Steam. Launching worldwide on Amazon this Thursday, April 16, the book extends the game’s unsettling universe beyond the screen, inviting readers into a fragmented narrative where memory, identity, and reality begin to collapse.

Set against the early internet era, LOOP//ERROR reconstructs the remnants of a lost online community. In 2004, a small independent mental health forum vanished without explanation—its servers shut down, its users dispersed, and its archives seemingly erased.
For years, nothing remained.
Until fragments began to resurface.
Recovered from partial caches and broken archives, investigators uncovered a series of disturbing posts authored by a user known only as GasGuy87. The entries were inconsistent, overwritten, and often existed in multiple conflicting versions—yet all pointed to the same sequence of events:
A late-night call from a gas station.A missing coworker.A deserted highway. And a voice on the radio repeating:“We will wait where time dies.”

A Fragmented Descent Into Psychological Horror
LOOP//ERROR presents these recovered fragments as a continuous narrative, guiding readers through a looping reality where events repeat with subtle and increasingly disturbing variations. As identities blur and timelines fracture, the story challenges the reader to question what is real—and what was ever meant to be found.
As a companion to the PC video game Loop//Error, the book expands the mythology and underlying narrative threads introduced in the interactive experience. While the game invites players to navigate its fractured world directly, the novel reconstructs its hidden layers, offering a deeper and more interpretive perspective on the same events.
Together, they form a unified psychological horror experience that moves between mediums—interactive and literary—each reinforcing and destabilising the other.
Blurring the Line Between Fiction and Archive
At its core, LOOP//ERROR is designed to unsettle.
Some readers will see it as fiction.Others may question whether these fragments were ever intended to resurface at all.
The text itself resists certainty—assembled from incomplete records, conflicting versions, and traces of something that may not have been meant to endure.
Either way, once the loop begins, it rarely lets go.

Availability
LOOP//ERROR will be available globally as an e-book and paperback on Amazon from April 16, 2026.
